Nestle Water, Finals, and Pow Wow

Oi what a nightmare among all the various tasks happening in the middle of the week we now have protest event, to help protect the water source for the northwest, than finals to compound on the task that well, it decides to get windy and cold , and then the native american student group holding a pow wow this weekend.

I would suggest the folks who can come out to it next semester, start going to the Student Government Meetings, that happen on Wed at 4pm, never know what may be covered and may cost you money as a student.  Also would suggest, folks to head out to the pow wow this weekend, will be a nice break from homework crunching on finals .

To much politics?

Are we accepting maybe to much, that college has politics instead of as a place that is between customer and seller? I.E. Student is the customer, and the teacher is the seller. I  walk in the middle of the CIT teachers offices, and very lil politics, a lot of job postings things that are useful to those looking at college as a place for job training, and not just a place to talk about society.

Go in the middle of the math department and you are bombarded with politics, 99% stickers, spend on education not war, go into the culinary area, their is one door with a vote for obama sticker.

I understand that the right to say what you think is valuable, but should something like these political bumper stickers all over the teachers hallways and doors ...good?
aShould they instead be putting them INSIDE their office area, or at least on the inside of the door? It is not suppression of freedom of speech, or is it hurting a teachers expression, but when I come down to talk to a teacher, should politics be on their sleeve so much?

I come to the math area, to learn about 1+1 , not if you support a certain politician, personalize your own space, but can I have a lil peace from the world that is so political active and responsive in the hallways, that I come to learn in?

Goals for This Semesters Blog

So, Yeah..... I haven't been around of late which is  a real shame, but news wise, not much going on either on campus. Lane finished up the semester , no real budget changes it seems, the student government here got arrested at a protest...eh. Not sure if support folks going in "my name" to get arrested, should get arrested on your own time and not make it a supported activity.

Now I am taking a web design class this semester, so the quality of life on this blog, should improve slowly, and become better for all those involved.

The goals this semester are going to be this

1. News

2.Whatever I want to vent about

3. Post and find ways to have a cheap meal at the Lane Community College Campus. Their are several lil hidden factors here, that am noticing you can do to save money.

4. Keep you better updated on the OER status and what headway, myself and others are making.

5. Find a Date lol

Well, got work coming up so small daily advice

Do not ever....get behind on homework. Tell your b/f or g/f you have a headache and get it done!

Being Sick Sucks, and Textbook Prices Suck to

Just glad, that am sick before finals, instead of in the middle of them. Doing my best to prove that I hate grammar, will probably show in this post. This weekend is a hot topic, dealing with the ALSCC, getting myself involved with finding ways to make more students aware of cheaper textbook prices, at the same time looking for recruits who may have ideas.

Do you have suggestions, on how to make school life cheaper? Leave a message below, and the winner may gain something nice, like baked cookies or something.
